A “Tube”-ular Alternative to Skiing
If you’re not a skier, but still want to play in the snow, Cataloochee’s snow tubing attraction, Tube World, is only 4 miles from the ski area and offers hours of fun for the whole family. Open Thursday through Sunday, it’s $25 per person for an hour and 45 minute-long session. Reservations can be made online, or take your chances with first-come, first-served at the location.
Please note that tubers must be at least 42″ tall, and only tubes provided by Tube World may be used. The Wee Bowl Snowplay Area is a smaller hill for children who don’t meet the height requirement for the tall hill, and runs on the same schedule as the tubing hill. The cost is $5 per session.
