Restaurant Recommendations from One of Asheville’s Best Hotel Concierges

Mackensy Lunsford is a professional concierge at The Residences at Biltmore. Concierges employed here are specially trained to help meet the individual needs of each guest. “The managerial staff sets up concierge dinners so we can sample the flavors of different restaurants opening in Asheville,” states Mackensy. “Then many of us spend additional time doing our homework since it is better if a concierge has first hand knowledge,” she continues.

If I Stay at The Residences at Biltmore What Restaurants Are Near My Hotel in Asheville?

There is a delicious assortment of restaurants in close proximity to The Residences at Biltmore.
-The Corner Kitchen is a Biltmore Village standard. Housed in a Tudor style house that is one of the original buildings in Biltmore Village, guests can expect excellent service and wonderful breakfast, lunch and dinner menus featuring locally produced foods. Find everything from a traditional Southern breakfast with eggs and grits or a dinner entrée of pecan-crusted mountain trout.
-Rezaz is a gem only a short walk from The Residences at Biltmore. The menu showcases food from the entire Mediterranean region including North Africa, Italy and Spain. “The staff is one of the best in the area,” says Mackensy,” and the wine list is outstanding.” “It is a tightly run chef owned business,” she continues.
-Enoteca is the casual dining sister restaurant of Rezaz. Mackensy sends guests there frequently because they can get the same great quality of food and service, but in a more casual atmosphere. “The guests can wait there for the main dining room,” explains Mackensy, “and they can get all sorts of house made desserts, small plates, espresso, cocktails and wine if they don’t want a full meal.” “I love to go there for lunch,” she continues, “it is affordable and one of the best things are the antipasti platters where you can pick and choose from ingredients like roasted eggplant dip, cured meats, olives and more.”
-Fig is a little treasure also located in Biltmore Village. "This small, bistro-style French restaurant, owned by Traci and Treavis Taylor is amazing,” states Mackensy. ”The attention to detail puts this restaurant on top of its game. Chef William Kline really takes the time to seek out the best ingredients he can find,” she continues. “The food he cooks relies heavily on French tradition but includes exciting modern twists.”

Fine Dining in Downtown Asheville

Any hotel in Asheville will recommend some of the city’s most well known restaurants. Zambra, Sugo, Mela and Kubo are just a few. Few staff members at an Asheville NC Hotel can tell you about the restaurant owners, the menu, the interior design and quality of service at the restaurants they recommend. At The Residences at Biltmore our concierges, like Mackensy, can provide you with a wealth of information to ensure you have the experience you have been searching for.

Mackensy’s training and research allow her to clearly describe the levels of spice found in the Indian dishes served at Mela on Lexington or the “romantic, plush décor” in the dining room at Zambra’s. She can easily describe the local produce and meats used by the chef at Sugo or her favorite sushi roll, the Hottie Roll, at Kubo's filled with “spicy tuna, crunchy, sliced jalapenos and sriracha sauce.” Click here to learn more about our concierge services and the Asheville hotel amenities that await you.
