When Sandra Gamble, The District Human Resource Manager for Best Buy in Charlotte, was looking for a hotel in Asheville that would be suitable for business trips and relocation of management, she discovered The Residences at Biltmore online. “The hotel was convenient to our two Asheville locations: Tunnel Road and the airport,” she noted, and, “for the quality the price seemed fair.”

For corporate and business travelers in search of accommodations in Asheville that exceed amenities found in most hotels -- look no further. The Residences at Biltmore is a premier hotel, on par with the finest establishments in town, and fully equipped with anything a businessperson may need. Guests may use the business meeting center for group meetings. A Concierge is available 24 hours per day to make business arrangements such as lunch and dinner appointments, picking up the dry cleaning, or shopping for a special client gift.

The Residences at Biltmore is a home away from home with amenities that make business trips easier: flat screen televisions, wireless Internet, whirlpool bathtubs, balconies, and fully equipped contemporary kitchens. This unique all-suite hotel also provides two and three bedroom suites, in addition to studio and one-bedroom accommodations. Centrally located in the heart of the South Asheville business and historic district, guests save time commuting to popular destinations.

Once every business quarter Gamble and district staff travel to Asheville, and they book accommodations at The Residences at Biltmore for an overnight trip. When employees are relocated, they also stay at The Residences at Biltmore. “Some employees bring family with children,” said Gamble, “so the kitchen is convenient.” Gamble feels that The Residences at Biltmore has been successful at achieving the feel of a “home away from home environment, versus staying in a hotel.”

When asked about her experience in staying at The Residences at Biltmore, Gamble reflected, “I was impressed with the service in the lobby area where guests check-in. There are three or four different women there but it makes no difference who assists you, there’s still the same consistent level of service. They are all gracious and they let me know they are there to wait on me hand and foot the entire time I’m a guest.”

Gamble compared prices on Asheville hotels during the summer months, the height of the tourism season. She priced The Grove Park Inn, the Inn at Biltmore, and The Residences at Biltmore. The Residences at the Biltmore had the best pricing. In addition to reviewing cost, Gamble has been a guest at these hotels, so she is in a good position to compare quality and service. Gamble said, “When I stayed at The Residences at Biltmore, it still felt like I was staying at a five star hotel. I received excellent service, a robe and slippers, turndown at night and chocolates on the pillow. I even had extra amenities in the bathroom like the whirlpool tub.”

Recently, Gamble hired a new manager for the Tunnel Road store of Best Buy. “Jackie Lartey is the new manager. She relocated to Asheville this fall. Jackie stayed at The Residences at Biltmore for her first month here,” said Gamble. Lartey told Gamble her long-term stay at The Residences at Biltmore made life much easier while traveling with her husband and her two-year old child. She was able to maintain her family life while in transition with her career. Lartey has a home in Asheville now.

Business travel can be demanding and sometimes even stressful. By selecting an excellent hotel, personal time while traveling can be more pleasant. Imagine spending some time unwinding at The Residences at Biltmore in front of the fireplace, in a whirlpool tub, on the balcony, or in the living room while a meal is cooking. For many business travelers and other guests, a stay at The Residences at Biltmore does feel like home.
