Summer is starting to blossom here in the Great Smokey Mountains and we are excited to spend it with you! Below is a short list of some unique events happening in the Asheville area this June. Be sure to like us on Facebook to get the latest updates on local happenings.

Biltmore Events

Live After Five

After a day of touring the grand living style of the Vanderbilt’s, you can end your experience on a high note with Biltmore’s Live After Five event. Music will feel the air on Friday and Saturday evenings after 5 pm starting May 27th through October 29th. The best part? It is included in your regular ticket admission!

Outdoor Events

Family Animal Encounters at Chimney Rock State Park

There is no better way to learn than to see things up close and personal! Families can meet several new furry friends at Chimney Rock State Park during the month of June and learn what role each animal plays in the wild. This is a great way to get kids involved in learning about our great outdoors while having a blast! These tours will be held Monday-Saturday at 2pm throughout the month of June.

Waterfalls ‘n Wine

If you looking to explore some of the best waterfalls Pisgah National Forest has to offer this is the tour for you! On June 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th don’t forget your camera and walking shoes on this four-hour tour because you will want to remember these views for a lifetime. After the short hikes to these magnificent sites, you will end the tour with a relaxing wine tasting at one of Brevard’s unique wine boutiques.

Asheville Art in the Park

This collaborative event brings many artists together in Pack Square Park to showcase their stunning works of art. Not only will this event support individual artist but it also raises funds for the Asheville Area Art Council which is committed to sharing the art with the community and using that to build relationships. Come out and support our local artist on June 11th, 18th, and 25th from 10 am to 6 pm.

Night Life & Brews

Hot Glass, Cold Beer, Live Music

On the first Friday of each month through November, Lexington Glassworks with be holding this event. You can witness the art of glassblowing while enjoying an ice-cold beer. There will also be local artists performing during the event and you will also be able to partake in some of Asheville’s culinary creations. This is a great way to experience what Asheville is all about…local artists sharing their talent with the community.

Ladies' Night

On the last Thursday of every month from June to December, Ruth’s Chris in Biltmore Village will be hosting a ladies' night from 4:30-7:30 pm. This event is full of exciting music, free giveaways, and decadently delicious food items. This event does require an advance RSVP so be sure to ask our 24 hr. concierge (828-772-6601) to help you arrange your party’s reservation!

Flights & Bites Series

Every Thursday this month Hi-Wire Brewing Company will have what they call their Flights & Bites event. This is a great way to experience a lot of what this brewery has to offer in just one visit. After choosing a flight of beer you will receive items from the Foothills Meats food truck to pair with your tasty brews!
